6-3 6-2, Andy Murray returns to Queens with a win!

For the first time since 2016, Andy Murray has won a singles match at Queens Club and on home soil against Benoit Paire.

It was lovely to see the five time champion back on the court which has soo much history in the Brits career back doing what he loves best.

Murray broke the Frenchman in the fourth games of the match, up 2-1 he sealed a break to love. Paire himself has admitted to struggling with tennis since lockdown lifted and wins had been hard to come by for him.

There have been questions in this time over his effort but you know he will also bring entertainment to the court but when it mattered the Brit took his chances and went onto win the opening set 6-3 with just one break of serve.

In the second set it was a similar pattern, a few close games before the Brit went onto break but not only once but twice sealing a comprehensive win in 65 minutes.

To see Andy back at Queens was lovely, I do think Paire was a good challenge physically and some of the tennis was rolling back the years!

It was an emotional moment for Murray winning back at Queens Club and his post-match interview showed this capturing the hearts of many there and thousands at home
