He was ruthless and rampant during the opening couple of weeks.
He does have quite a strong serve but his baseline game especially his forehand has really taken part opponents this in both his title wins.
Rublev will begin his Australian Open campaign against Christopher O’Connell. The Australian is ranked at 116 in the world and will play on Tuesday.
Andrey’s two titles in two weeks to begin the season is something that hasn’t been done since 2004.
The last player to win two titles at the beginning of the season was Dominik Hrbaty. Dominik won in Adelaide and Auckland and in the latter beat a certain Rafael Nadal in the final.
