Denis Shapovalov has withdrawn from the NextGen finals in Milan for the second year in a row.
Last year the Canadian had withdrawn citing exhaustion after a long year this years withdrawal has been badly timed.
It was announced 30 minutes or so after his quarter final win against Gael Monfils in the quarter finals of the Masters 1000 in Paris that he has withdrawn from the event in Milan citing fatigue.
Poor timing this announcement as tomorrow the Canadian will be up against either Jo-Wilfried Tsonga or Rafael Nadal in the Paris Masters semi-finals.
Taking his place is Alejandro Davidovich Fokina from Spain who has had a lot of success on the challenger tour this year and is someone to keep an eye on.
