Novak Djokovic is good at staging splits at the moment.
Last season Vajda, Gritcsh and Amanovic all departed 12 months ago and the other day it was announced Andre Agassi has left the camp and today that was confirmed on Novak Djokovic’ website as well as announcing that good friend Radek Stepanek has also left the camp but will continue to be good friends.
This is the second time in 12 months there have been a mass exodus in the camp and it leads to a question what does Novak want?
After a tough period last season he split with a coaching team which had been with him since his first year on the tour and has now ended his partnership with his current team.
Going forward there has to be a clear plan and surely one all parties agree on as to have gone through 6 members of the coaching team in not even 18 months is excessive.
The plan is now for Novak to play in Monte-Carlo which begins in 10 days time. It will be odd as he physically doesn’t look ready and his game wasn’t there at Indian Wells and Miami but how long does he leave it before hiring a new coach?
