Grigor Dimitrov is at it again. The home favourite in Sofia last week once again walked away as the headline maker after another incredible week on the tour.
With 15 wins, 2 titles and 1 loss to his name in 2017 the Bulgarian is the in-form man on the tour this year and he looks like he is getting back to his best and at the beginning of the season I said top 10 is do-able by Wimbledon but top 10 is possible by Indian Wells at the moment.
15 wins and 1 defeat in about 7 weeks is pretty good. I posted a piece not long ago about the improvements and changes to his game and that swagger seems to be there again he looks in control and ready for anything.
There isn’t much time to celebrate for Dimitrov as he now heads to Rotterdam where even as the fourth seed with his form this season you could say he is the favourite.
His first round opponent is Mischa Zverev who of course defeated Andy Murray at the Australian Open and just won the doubles title with younger brother Alex in Montpellier. There is another possibility that for a third time already this year Dimitrov could face David Goffin in the third round.
Sometimes you say players have something to prove but Grigor doesn’t right now, he is the form man and he is back and it can only get better!
