V is for Venus and Victory

If ever you need some inspiration look no further than Venus Williams. This woman is bloody brilliant! At the age of 36 she has become the oldest player to reach a Grand Slam semi-final without a set dropped since 1994 (the year I was born).

You have to just stand there and applaud, she loves tennis and tennis loves her. To reach her first Australian Open final in 14 years as well is massive, she has so much more left to give and if you ever feel like your dreams could be over then watch this woman she is amazing!

What she has overcome in her career and what she has fought for is just magnificent! One thing she always does which is just infectious is smile.

I’m not going to sit here and talk about her game which is very good I will add but her impact on the sport to fight for equal rights and equal pay she is just wonderful.

Next up for her is Coco Vandeweghe, she is explosive and energetic around the court and realistically a place in the final once again is on the cards. I don’t want to get carried away but watching her lift that title would be the story of the year and we are only in January.

No matter what does happen for the rest of the week one thing you can guarantee is that she will be smiling šŸ™‚
