Halep secures Singapore place with convincing win against Keys!

Simona Halep has found her form this last few months and her excellent form has contributed in her qualifying for the end of season finals in Singapore.

The Romanian was faultless in her victory against fellow top 10 player Madison Keys with a comfortable and composed 6-4 6-2 win against the American.

The performance got off to a shaky start by the Romanian who quickly found herself 1-3 down but then turned things about quite quickly winning 5 of the next 6 games to take the first set and impressed further in the second and what turned out to be final.

Halep is so difficult to break down it is like playing against a brick wall and to be fair to Madison Keys I didn’t think she played badly but Halep was more consistent and more in control from the baseline. She picked her moments with perfection, when to attack and defend and the baseline was spot on and unpredictable and the forehand was sublime.

Next up Petra Kvitova who defeated world number one Angie Kerber in an earlier round!
