Wozniacki picks up title No.24 in Tokyo!

It’s been a tough year and a half for Wozniacki. Since her incredible second half of the season in 2014 she has struggled with form and injuries but the Dane is now on her best run for quite a while winning 10 of her last 11 matches on the tour.

Caro recently made the semi-finals of the US Open going into Flushing Meadows with little expectations having no Grand Slam wins all year but carried her good form into Tokyo this last week winning her first title since March 2015 as she defeated 18 year old Naomi Osaka in the final earlier this morning to pick up title number 24!

Caro saw off Bencic, Suarez-Navarro and Radwanska on way to claiming the title which is an impressive run of results for an un-seeded player.

One month ago Wozniacki was ranked at 74th in the world and on Monday she will be around 22 in the world and to make that massive jump in a month is pretty incredible! She is edging closer to 500 career wins and is currently sat at 498. There isn’t much left to play for this season but expect a lot from the former world number one in the coming weeks!
