British number one Johanna Konta was the latest player to be on the receiving end of the power and skill of 26 year old Anastasija Sevastova as the Latvian booked her place in her first Grand Slam quarter final in style.
Having retired at the age of 23 she returned to tennis last year and what a decision it was for her!
Sevastova has seen off Schmeidlova, Bondarenko, Muguruza and now Konta so far this tournament and awaits the winner of Wozniacki v Keys.
I saw bits and pieces of the match against Konta and I thought the Latvian played a clever game, she was strong off the baseline and played into space and had a good read on the Konta serve.
In this form anything is possible and in the city where dreams are made it looks like this one may have another chapter before the finish
