Andy Murray wins Olympic Gold again!

Once again Andy Murray has made the dream a reality. The world number one two has become the first player to ever defend an Olympic title which is a magnificent achievement.

I think it’s fair to say the last week has been a bit of a Murray coaster after sailing through the first two rounds and then leaving it very late to defeat Steve Johnson and Fabio Fognini before a quick and routine win against Kei Nishikori and finished with a marathon victory against Juan Martin Del Potro.

This means Murray has now won 18 matches in a row on the tour which is exceptional winning title at Queens, Wimbledon and now Olympic Gold and has also won 33 of his last 35 matches on the tour which is magic!

To win Olympic Gold once is special but to do it twice is quite something! When you consider we are in an era dominated by Djokovic and Federer and not one of them has got their hands on gold before shows what an amazing achievement this is!

He just keeps on getting better and is such an inspiration to many world-wide and his grandmother was speaking to BBC Breakfast this morning and she said he doesn’t know when he is beaten and this should be a lesson to everyone he was moments away from going out to Johnson or Fognini in the previous rounds but as we see time and time again he doesn’t stop fighting and deserves the success as he keeps on working incredibly hard!
