Andy Murray celebrates his birthday in style

Andy Murray could not have asked for better preparation going into Roland Garros. The British number one made it to the final of Madrid defeating Nadal in the semi-finals but this week went one better defeating Novak Djokovic on his way to winning his first title in Rome and his 12th Masters 1000 title on his birthday!

Andy didn’t really give away much on his serve in the opening set with just five points dropped in the first set in five service games and facing not one break point with his second serve strong once again this week with 9/13 points won in set one.

Set two was a little bit more difficult for the Brit on second serve with Novak going after it a little bit more but was composed and maintained in control on his serveΒ despite only winning just 1/8 points on the serve but did save all three of the break points in the match.

Match point, Andy Murray style!
