Novak Djokovic has once again proved he is in a league of his own. The top seed defeated the second seed in what was the match of the tournament a marathon three setter with Djokovic’ final game taking just 13 minutes to see out his record 26 Masters 1000 title.
It does sadly go down as another defeat for Murray against Djokovic however you have to be very lucky to pick up anything against this man at the moment. Murray defended incredibly well throughout and was aggressive and remained competitive against the world number one.
The first set was a bit of train wreck for Murray but he did pick it up in the second going 4-1 up before going onto sealing the set and coming back from an early break in the third to level at 2-2.
The world number one has now won an incredible 10 of his last 13 Masters 1000 tournaments on the tour winning 29 titles which is incredible! He keeps on getting better and better and if he goes and defends his title in Rome then all eyes will be on the 11 time Grand Slam champion in Paris as he goes in search for his first French Open title and 12th Grand Slam.
