Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares win doubles title in Melbourne!

Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares have only been playing with each other for about a month but are the form team on the tour with them winning Sydney prior to winning their first Grand Slam title together and Jamie’s first with him in his third final running!

The first set didn’t exactly go to plan for Jamie and Bruno dropping it to the experienced Nestor and Stepanek but staged a great comeback to go on to win their first major title 2-6 6-4 7-5!

Doubles tennis right now for me is at the very top and for Jamie to be in three consecutive finals with two different partners is a great achievement and on Monday will be the new world number two! Jamie may be 29 and Bruno may be 33 but I have a feeling more success is on the way, just looked what the Bryan’s have achieved as the years have gone on!

It was also nice to see Andy in the crowd supporting his older brother with Andy playing Novak Djokovic in the singles final tomorrow!
