ATP World Tour Finals 2015 Review

Sixteen began but only two came out on top as Novak Djokovic, Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau picked up the season ending trophies in what was an incredible week of tennis!

In a league of his own!

Where else could I start? Novak has done it again! He has won the title for the fourth year running which is simply incredible. He had a blip against Federer in the round robin but turned on the style Sunday night to secure his 82nd win of the year winning his 11th title! Well done!

A positive end to 2015 despite defeat

I felt like Nadal came into this tournament needed a good week. Confidence in anything you do is key. If he’d had finished with no wins in the round robin that could have hit him hard but the former world number one turned on the style in the round robin winning all three of his matches and played some fantastic tennis. Who cares if he lost 6-3 6-3 to Novak, the Serbian is unstoppable right now but Nadal is on the path back to the very top.

Footwork. Just watch the footwork from Andy. He didn’t stop moving on this point against Wawrinka and the running forehand winner he produced was out of this world!

Yes the volley from Stan at the net was poor but still the movement of Murray and ability to control that shot on the run was simply wonderful.

Horia Tecau and Jean-Julien Rojer have had an amazing week. They finished the week unbeaten without a set dropped, the title and finishing the year as the world number one doubles team. They even produced this gem in the final.

Final run out!

It was Jamie Murray and John Peers last tournament together on the tour and didn’t they go out in style but not with a win but with a close defeat to the Bryan Brothers losing 7-6 6-7 14-16 against the four time champions despite having five match points!
