ATP World Tour Finals Day 3 – Federer, 3 sets & doubles action!

On the third day of the World Tour Finals, tennis gave to us… two three set matches!!!

Berdych all but out!

Tomas Berdych is all but out of the tournament after a three sets defeat to Kei Nishikori. Tomas took the second set 6-3 against the former US Open finalist but in the third Kei returned the favour with the same score line to secure an essential win which leaves Berdych needing a win against Djokovic…

Bryan’s win in 55 minutes!

Mike and Bob were defeated by the eigth seeds in the first match but got back on track today with a straight sets win against Fognini and Bolelli which has sent the Italian duo out of the competition, the first players to be officially eliminated!

Bopanna + Mergea win again!!

They met be the eigth seeds in London but they are the form team right now with two wins out of two without a set dropped for Bopanna + Mergea who have defeated Bolelli and Fognini as well as Murray and Peers today in London!

FEDERER DEFEATS DJOKOVIC!

Hands up if you saw it coming… I didn’t but Federer has defeated Novak Djokovic in straight sets for the third time this year with a solid and commanding display from the baseline frustrating Novak who has lost his first indoors match on a hard court since 2012 when he lost to Sam Querrey in Paris. This see’s Roger into the semi-finals with a match against Nishikori in hand and Djokovic suddenly at a must win situation!
