ATP World Tour Finals Day 2 – Two more straight set wins + more

Rojer finally wins in London!

The saying goes “if at first you don’t succeed, try and try again” and that is what Jean Julien Rojer and Horin Tecau did as for the first time Rojer has won a match at the World Tour Finals for the first time in 10 attemps in a straight sets win against Zimonjic and Matkowski to claim the first win of the day!

Murray begins with a win!

6-4 6-4 was the score as Murray fought to victory against David Ferrer who was broken at 4-5 in both sets as the Brit secured the straight sets win despite being 3-1 down in the second set he fought back to claim an important first win of the tournament!

Dodig and Melo complete comeback

The third seeds Dodig and Melo were just a few points from possibly losing however they turned it around at the last moment to win the second set tie-breaker before going on to win the final set tie-break 10-7 against Mahut and Herbert who will now play Zimonjic and Matkowski in the next match which is must win for both!

Nadal thrashes Wawrinka

Four matches and for the third time in two days I’ve used the word ‘thrashed’. Nadal took Wawrinka apart and the Swiss got frustrated as the match progressed with little fight back a little like Nishikori and Berdych in their defeats the day before.

What will day 3 bring?
