Murray/Peers defeat Inglot/Lindstedt in Basel!

Both are expected to be in the Davis Cup squad for next month’s final against Belgium however in the battle of the Brit’s in Basel between Jamie Murray and his partner from Australia John Peers and Dominic Inglot and his partner from Sweden Robert Lindstedt however it was Jamie Murray and John Peers who won in three sets to advance to the final in Basel.

The first set went to the third seeds Murray and Peers who took the set late on winning it 7-5 with them facing zero break points in the opening set with just two points dropped on the serve in the opening set.

The second set was a pretty much one way traffic as Inglot and Lindstedt ran away with it taking it 6-1 against the third seeds and in the final set tie-break literally nothing to separate the two teams except for late on when at 11-10 Murray and Peers managed to get the win in 71 minutes.

Jamie and John will be up against Bruno Soares and Alexander Peya in the final with this potentially being these two teams’ last finals together as next season Jamie Murray will be playing doubles with Bruno Soares next season!
