Andy Murray had to dig deep in Cincinnati last night to defeat Grigor Dimitrov. Murray lost the first set 6-4 and quickly found himself on the back foot in the second set going 6-4 4-1 down before fighting back to take the set 7-6 (7-3) against the Bulgarian.
Dimitrov did look like running away with the match again as Murray found himself 2-5 down in the final set and a game away from being knocked out of the tournament however the Brit went on to an incredible run and won 5 games in a row to win the match 4-6 7-6 7-5 and progress to the quarter finals in Cincinnati.
Murray will play Gasquet in the quarter finals later in the day. Murray leads the head to head 5-3 officially but if you include the walkover he received in Canada last year then the head to head is 6-3.
