Eugenie Bouchard & Milos Raonic defeated!
The poor run of form continues for both players both suffering early exits in their home country. Bouchard’s loss takes her win/loss record to 8/15 and depending on how those do around her she could drop out of the world’s top 30. The Canadian lost to another rising star on the tour in Belinda Bencic who defeated Bouchard 6-0 5-7 6-2 to secure the win and set up a round two meeting with Caroline Wozniacki.
Milos Raonic on the other hand hasn’t really pushed on this year from a big break through last year and is still in search of his 200th career win with a career win loss of 199/99 which is basically 50/50. Raonic lost 7-6 7-6 to Ivo Karlovic in a match he should be winning on the tour!

The big serving Croatian is on his way to break the world record for aces and he made it past 10,000 with his win against Milos Raonic serving 22 aces to break the record! 10,000 career aces is incredible and say four aces wins you a game then that could be 2500 games won in his career just by aces! How many more will Ivo get?
After her run to the final in Stanford Karolina Pliskova suffered an early exit in the first round to qualifier Mirjana Lucic-Baroni losing the match 6-3 6-7 2-6 to the Croatian.
Murray and Robredo to continue!
After more poor weather in Canada Andy Murray and Tommy Robredo will have to continue their match later today level at 4-4 40-30 on the Murray despite Murray being up a break earlier on in the match. With this match having to be suspended it does mean that the winner will have to play the next 5 days running if they are going to get to the final.
Kevin Anderson defeated!
Another early exit in Montreal this time for Kevin Anderson who lost two tie-breakers to Lukas Rosol losing the match 7-6 (2) 7-6 (4). . The defeat is a bit of a surprise with the South African’s form this year being very good and much expected of him during this hard court season.
Heather Watson defeats Irina Falconi 6-1 6-2
After Heather’s match being postponed due to bad weather in Toronto as well last night it finally got played with the Brit comfortably winning her first round match 6-1 6-2 against the American and setting up a round two meeting today with Andrea Petkovic.
