Naomi Broady qualifies for Citi Open in Washington!

Naomi Broady has had an excellent weekend in Washington where she has qualified for the main draw of the Citi Open joining Heather Watson and Andy Murray in the main draw representing Great Britain.

Naomi was one of four Brits in qualifying however on the men’s tour James Ward, Kyle Edmund and Naomi’s younger brother Liam Broady all lost in the first round!

Naomi saw off Aliaksandra Sasnovich the third seed in the final round of qualifying 6-3 6-3 despite the Belarussian being ranked over 90 places ahead of the Brit in the WTA rankings.

It is unknown until later tonight who Naomi will play in the main draw but I will update when the news is known.
