Jordanne Whiley adds another trophy to her trophy cabinet!

Great Britain’s Jordanne Whiley yesterday added more silverware to her trophy cabinet and probably the biggest singles title of her career winning the World Super Series defeating 3 of the top 4 seeds on her way to winning the title including the world number one and yesterday the world number Aneik Van Koot to lift the title and also beat these two with her doubles partner Yui Kamiji to win their second Wimbledon title not long ago.

Whiley has an Olympic Bronze Medal, Calendar Grand Slam in 2014, 6 Grand Slam doubles titles since the start of 2014 winning 6 out of the last 7 majors and this year also received an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List!

Seriously if you have never seen Wheelchair Tennis before I recommend you do watch it! It was the 2012 Paralympics when I first watched and I think it’s great. Sadly unless you attend the events there isn’t much TV coverage but when the Rio Olympics and Wimbledon is about give it a watch if you can and if not look on YouTube or something!

Jordanne will obviously be defending her doubles title at the US Open and will also be looking to hopefully add more singles titles to her name as well as doubles titles and of course will be on the medal hunt in Rio next summer!
